hey,

so my goal for this week was to launch 3 projects — and i actually managed to hit it.

i launched challenge canvas today. it’s a sticky-note style board for tracking progress across challenges. i first started posting my progress on twitter just to prove to myself that showing up matters, but now i’ve turned that habit into a local tool i can use myself (and open-sourced it so you can too).

this shift to open source is part of my focus right now — i want to build an audience around these projects, and funnel that audience into this newsletter. so i will definitely be continuing to build small open source tools that you can all use and learn from.

the biggest thing i’ve learnt this week: it’s way more motivating to build for myself than to build for money. even though the £100k before uni challenge is about money, i want the process to feel fun — not like a struggle (i already have enough of that with studying).

i’ll continue posting as i learn more things and build more projects. let’s see if this journey works out, and most importantly if i learn valuable things from it.

thanks for following along,
vulcan
