hey,

it’s been about 20 days since the last update - life’s been chaotic. i just moved schools, i’ve been really tired, and i haven’t had the energy to post on socials much.

still, i’ve tried to keep up with community-related stuff (that was one of my main goals), and this week i actually submitted something for the reddit hackathon.

the project’s called loot of olympus: a greek mythology–themed daily challenge game where every 3 hours, players can answer a myth question and collect unique items. it was a pivot halfway through, and i only had 3 days to build it (i ended up coding as much as i could between classes at breaks and lunches), but it turned out to be a lot of fun. the hackathon experience was so good that i definitely want to do more in the future.

also, a small but exciting milestone: i got my first £10 sponsor. big shoutout to gautam for being the first person to support this journey. i’ve already added the billboard to earn grid, which makes the whole thing feel that bit more real.

as for the 100k before uni journey, i’m still on it - even if progress has been slower the past couple of weeks. the truth is, i want this to feel fun and motivating, not just like grinding for money. hackathons, open source projects, and community tools all help me stay excited about building - and that’s what’s going to make the whole journey sustainable.

thanks for following along,
vulcan
