hey,

this week has been all about deepening my iOS journey and pushing drinkie forward. i’ve spent most of my time working with swift and exploring object-oriented programming - and i’m really enjoying it. the app’s onboarding flow is now fully implemented, data saving with swiftdata is working (it was fascinating to explore), notifications can now be scheduled at specific times, and appstorage handles user preferences like custom notification messages. next week’s goal: make water tracking functional, turning all this setup into something tangible.

beyond drinkie, i’ve been thinking a lot about my next project. i spent most of today brainstorming names - trying to find something that’s unique, memorable, and not already taken - and, well, it’s harder than it looks. but the idea itself feels solid: an always-on, online startup school for tech builders.

think buildspace, but you can start your own “season” whenever you want - no waiting for cohorts. the whole platform will centre around learning by doing (through weekly milestones), sharing progress, and building community without relying on social media. there’ll also be an AI mentor to guide you, summarise your journey, and connect you with other builders in similar niches.

i’ve just opened a waitlist for early access - if it sounds interesting, you can sign up here.

next week will be focused on making drinkie actually track hydration - and maybe sketching the first pieces of this new platform. between both projects, i’m learning more about what i enjoy building and how to make things that actually stick.

thanks for following along,
vulcan
