hey,
this week has been completely dominated by studies, so i didn’t get any time to code at all. still, it was a productive period for planning and thinking strategically about my upcoming projects.
drinkie remains my top priority: the launch is now pushed to the first weeks of december. it’s important to finish it properly before jumping into anything else, so that’s where my focus is.
i’ve also been revisiting the principle of reusing domains if projects don’t work out. mathhacks.org.uk didn’t attract enough people, but it sparked a new, smarter idea: a leetcode-style platform for maths with seasons. the vision is to mix competitive programming with mathematical thinking: clean logic, efficient solutions, algorithmic elegance. users would solve one challenge a day, build streaks, climb leaderboards, and sharpen problem-solving skills over time. i know i’ll learn a lot through this project, including docker and other backend skills. if it works, it could also let me relaunch mathathons with a bigger audience.
vibefight.com, my previous attempt at a launch platform, felt too generic. i’m pivoting it into a newsletter directory, with ways to monetise via ad spots or premium launches, and a simple way to promote my own newsletter. i still want to add a twist to make it stand out, and i’ll use this project as an opportunity to learn supabase along the way.
looking at timelines, i want to launch mathhacks on july 1st. this gives me enough space to: finish drinkie by the end of this year, ship vibefight in early jan-feb, build the swift student challenge app in feb, and then tackle mathhacks properly - giving enough time to avoid security issues and build it well.
even in weeks where i don’t code, planning and positioning projects strategically feels just as important. it’s all about making sure the next few months of work have maximum impact.
thanks for following along,
vulcan
